It enables students to pursue their sporting interests, whilst obtaining suitable academic qualifications from our wide range of further and higher education qualifications.

It is every child's dream to play their sport at a professional level. In American Football, unlike most other sports, in order to get to the National Football League (NFL), you must go through the "college" (university) ranks in the USA. This acts as a safeguard to ensure promising young athletes that do not make the grade do not leave the sport without an education to fall back on. This is something that falls in line with the way the Academy is structured here at Filton College. The ultimate goal for youngsters coming into the Academy is to achieve a scholarship to play American Football state side in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).
